I know what you’ve all been saying: “When are you guys gonna stop screwing around and cover some f*&#ing ADELE?” Well your wait is over:

I heard first heard the original Turning Tables by Adele years ago while watching a random game stream. It stuck in my head for a long while as it transformed into the Moiré Effect version you’re hearing now. The piano riff on top of the chords says plenty about sadness and regret  but the lyrics and strings also add an element of hope. Our version says something a little different. I wasn’t sure early on how Scott’s vocals would come across the material since they come from a personal space, but I think they hit hard and while they cover the same points as the original there’s definitely a different interpretation to be had. I suppose that’s for y’all to decide.

For the arrangement, the piano riff stays alive in the lead guitar parts obviously, and the strings can also be found there as well. The bass, rhythm guitar, and drum programming comes straight from us, so take it or leave it. Hopefully it rocks you hard enough you have no choice but to take it.

I’m really proud of what we have and hope you enjoy it. Someone call Adele and ask what she thinks.
